Homer High Teen Passes Away

Homer Elementary teacher also succumbs

Homer High School Junior GeKobe Hunter passed away Thursday afternoon after he collapsed in the school’s gym. According to Claiborne Parish Schools Superintendent Dr. Janice Williams, he was transported to Homer Memorial Hospital where he passed away. Hunter was actively involved in sports, extracurricular activities and was a stellar member of the Future Business Leaders of America. Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 7, at the school. Also, Homer Elementary Teacher Brenda Bradford passed away Friday, August 31. She was a fifth grade science teacher.
